Jenn Howard grew up in New Orleans and started singing with popular New Orleans band Project Nim in high school at Country Day. She then moved to Manhattan and played music there and put out three cd's with the band. After returning home, she left music for some time and worked with children. Eventually she enlisted the help of local funk-gypsy rock band Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes to join her in producing her first original album in years. Around the same time period, Jenn started learning the jazz ropes with her friend Felix Wohlleben, and they quickly began a weekly seven year run gig at the Rusty Nail. This led to recording, "The Wednesday Standard", a group of classic standards and favorites. Now, years later, with a five piece band, she performs around the New Orleans area still. They consistently play some of her favorite venues and at events, weddings, and parties of all kinds, playing a mixture of crowd favorites with her gritty and soulful vocals.
